About Chunkee Monkey
This is an novel idea I  am trying out for a very modest and personal means of fund-raising for the SPCA.   In appreciation for making a $25 donation to the SPCA, I may be able to provide you with a free winter hat or scarf, subject to availability.  My goal is 50 hats per year.

This is our cat Teddy, the original "chunkee monkey."   Don't worry, he is not as fat as he looks.  (The camera always adds an extra five pounds!)
How to Donate . . .
1. SELECT AN ITEM:  First select an item from the website photos and send an email to admin@chunkeemonkey.com, listing the item number, your name, and contact info. You will receive an email confirming if the item is available for you.  Please wait for the confirmation before making the donation to SPCA.

2.  DONATE TO SPCA:    Go go  to https://spca.bc.ca and click on the Donate  button.   Click on the "Dedicate this donation" button (shown at left) and add Chunkee Monkey as the Honoree name.  When prompted, ask that a notification be sent to admin@chunkeemonkey.com.  Also make sure you choose that this is a one-time only donation (not the default ongoing monthly one). PLEASE NOTE:  I have no affiliation with the SPCA, so any concerns you have about the donation process or the SPCA do not involve chunkeemonkey.com.    

3. DELIVERY:   Once the SPCA email notification has been received, I will be in touch with you to arrange delivery.  Thank you!

Hugs scarf

This is one I just made up myself when learning to crochet.  I used Bernat® Blanket Tweeds from Michaels. Chain 15 stitches (7.5 inches approximately wide) Half double crochet in second chain from hook and continue rest of row.  Chain 1 and turn.  Keep going until desired length is reached.  This scarf is very lightweight, but surprisingly warm and cozy.

Textured Beanie Hat
